Overview
OctoBot Prediction Market is a specialized fork of the established OctoBot trading framework, purpose-built for automated trading on Polymarket. Developed by Drakkar-Software, a Paris-based team with years of experience in open-source trading infrastructure, the project brings the reliability and modularity of the original OctoBot ecosystem to the prediction market space.
The bot runs entirely self-hosted on your own hardware — a local machine, VPS, or Docker container — and features a clean web-based GUI for configuration and monitoring. This architecture means your Polymarket API keys and wallet credentials never leave your machine, providing the strongest possible custody guarantees. No third-party server ever touches your funds or credentials.
OctoBot’s primary strategy is copy trading: users select top-performing wallets from the Polymarket public leaderboard and the bot automatically mirrors their positions with configurable sizing and filtering rules. Arbitrage detection between prediction markets and sportsbooks is actively in development, and AI-assisted strategy generation via ChatGPT integration is available for users who want LLM-powered analysis. The project has grown a community of over 1,900 members who share configurations, strategies, and support. For context on how OctoBot fits into the broader autonomous trading ecosystem, see the agent betting stack framework.
Strategy & How It Works
OctoBot currently supports the following strategy modes:
- Copy trading: select any wallet from the Polymarket public leaderboard and OctoBot mirrors their trades automatically, with user-defined position sizing, maximum exposure limits, and market filters
- Arbitrage detection (in development): planned module to identify price discrepancies between Polymarket and sportsbooks
- AI-assisted analysis: optional ChatGPT integration for market research, strategy evaluation, and trade reasoning
The web GUI provides real-time dashboards for open positions, trade history, P&L tracking, and strategy configuration. All execution happens through the Polymarket CLOB on Polygon.
Supported Platforms
OctoBot Prediction Market supports Polymarket exclusively as of March 2026. Kalshi integration is on the development roadmap but not yet available. The underlying OctoBot framework supports centralized crypto exchanges, but the prediction market fork is Polymarket-specific.
Performance & Track Record
OctoBot is a user-configured tool, not a managed strategy. Performance depends entirely on which wallets you choose to copy, your position sizing rules, and market conditions. The platform does not make performance claims or publish aggregate returns.
Verification Status: N/A — user-configured copy trading tool. Individual results vary based on configuration and copied wallet selection.
Pricing Model
OctoBot Prediction Market is completely free and open source under the GPL-3.0 license. There are no subscription fees, no revenue sharing, and no premium tiers. Running costs include:
- Hosting (local machine electricity, or VPS at ~$5–$20/month for cloud deployment)
- Trading capital (USDC on Polygon)
- Polygon gas fees (minimal)
This makes OctoBot one of the most cost-effective options in the ecosystem — the only ongoing expense beyond capital is optional hosting. For a broader comparison of bot costs, see our prediction market bot pricing guide.
Setup & Technical Requirements
- Python 3.10+ or Docker (recommended for simplest deployment)
- Available on the DigitalOcean marketplace for one-click cloud deployment
- Polymarket API credentials
- USDC on Polygon for trading capital
- Optional: Telegram integration for trade notifications and remote monitoring
- Web browser for accessing the GUI dashboard
Setup difficulty is medium — the web GUI eliminates most command-line interaction, but initial installation requires basic familiarity with Docker or Python environments. DigitalOcean’s one-click option reduces this further for cloud deployments.
Wallet Compatibility
OctoBot provides full self-custody. Your Polymarket API keys and wallet credentials are stored exclusively on your local machine or VPS and are never transmitted to any external server. This is the strongest custody model available — no third party, including the OctoBot team, can access your funds under any circumstances.

Verdict
Best For: Privacy-conscious traders and self-hosting enthusiasts who want full custody of their keys while automating Polymarket strategies. OctoBot is the strongest choice for users who refuse to hand credentials to any third party and prefer running infrastructure they fully control. The copy trading model provides a straightforward entry point, though advanced users may find the current strategy options limited compared to more flexible frameworks. The active community and established development team provide confidence in ongoing support.
